08/08/05 : Department of Health and Human Services Reminds Health Care Providers to Screen Employees, Contractors and Vendors
The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has reminded all health care providers that federal law prohibits payments to providers excluded from federal health care programs, including Medicare and Medicaid. In addition, failure to comply with these exclusions can result in fines of $10,000 per occurence.
